Foundations for the Design of Transport System Innovation and Change Processes
Grundlagen der Gestaltung von Innovations- und Veränderungsprozessen in Mobilitätssystemen
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 16:07:50
Abstract
The module establishes the fundamentals for an understanding and for designing innovation and change processes in transport systems on different levels (individual, economy, company) and from technology, macro und microeconomic or socio-technical perspectives. Success factors, barriers and also changed parameters shall be discussed.
Objective
Particiants are able - to understand the economic fundamentals of innovation and change processes in the area of transport - to analyse the foundations and challenges of disruption in transport and mobility systems - and to set these concepts and frameworks in context to their own work practice.
Content
In this module, innovation, transformation and change in transportation systems on different levels are discussed from different complementary perspectives. Respective theories and methods are introduced: - Concepts and frameworks - Emerging trends as new opportunities for innovation - Innovation today in the transport/mobility system: theoretical basis and concrete examples - Transformation of socio-technical systems
