Last Updated: 2026-02-05 14:55:14

Objective

The qualification of assembling drive-specific components for industrial drive systems and mechatronics. Design, simulation and testing of drives.

Content

Modern control techniques for dc-drives, three-phase drives, step motors, electronic motors and reluctance motors. Vector control and direct self-control, the use of micro-computers, design methods, how to handle the interface between user and electrical power supply. Saving energy, possibilities and limits, the economical use of energy for electrical drives.
For solving some of the problems discussed in this lecture, computer programs and expert systems are applied today in a wide variety of which a representative selection will be introduced. The topics are deepend in exercises by practical case studies.
