Abstract

Introduction to structural analysis, statically determinate beams and frames, stresses and deformations, application of the principle of virtual work, statically indeterminate beams and frames (force method).

Objective

Understanding the response of elastic beam and frame structures Ability to correctly apply the equilibrium conditions Ability to determine elastic deformations Ability to apply the force (flexibility) method for statically indeterminate structures
