Abstract

The course discusses current constructive problems in landscape architecture as part of the complex and multi-faceted urban space that is cultivated and animated by humans.

Objective

The students learn comprehensive skills in dealing with constructive questions.The goal is to promote a value-based critical and research-based thinking that is the prerequisite for discovering new questions and developing independent solutions.

Content

In the spring semester 2021, the course Materials and Construction II deals with constructive questions on the topics of “Operating With Time”, “Measures and References”, “Use of Vegetation in the House and the City” (tree in the city, the green house). The lecture uses concrete examples to illustrate how thinking about constructive possibilities and conditions determine and permeate the design process. The lectures are accompanied by on-site inspections. The relevant data will be communicated at the beginning of the semester. The weekly schedule is published on the degree program's website (or is included in the reader).
