Abstract

The course deals with structural and functional details of individual cell components and their mode of interaction. Compartmentalization of biochemical processes, signaling and regulation, and detoxification are analyzed in functional and structural terms.

Objective

Provide deep insights on general concepts underlying molecular events responsible for the physiology of the cell.

Content

In this course the structural and functional details of individual cell components are analyzed, along with their mode of interaction. Particular emphasis is put on the various aspects of compartmentalization of biochemical processes as well as on signaling, regulation and detoxification. The course is given by several lecturers, each with specific expertise and competence on the subjects that she/he presents.
