Abstract

The focus of this course is on applied econometrics. The course will cover methods and applications that are used in recent papers in the field of energy and environmental economics. The course will focus on state-of-the-art empirical methods and applications that illustrate how such methods can be successfully applied.

Objective

The course will cover methods that span four broad themes: experimental, quasi-experimental, structural, and machine learning approaches. The goal of the class is to familiarize students with state-of-the-art empirical techniques in the field of of energy and environmental economics and help them identifying methods that they can apply in their own research.
