Abstract
This course is meant for all students and employees at the University and the ETH Zurich, who habe previously attended the course Chinese V.All others should contact the instructor of the course beforehand.
Objective
Building on the results of course Chinese V the students will learn a basic vocabulary of about 900 characters. At the end of the course they will acquire the capacity not only to read but also to write these characters. The students will be familiarized with the new vocabulary through a number of exercises involving dialogues and short sentences. In addition, the competence in understanding spoken colloquial Chinese will also be trained. Members of the course will eventually acquire an advanced linguistic competence meeting the standards set by the new HSK 4 examination.
