Abstract

In this module, methods of personalized medicine and related ethical issues in medical and biomedical research are discussed.

Objective

This module is intended to enable students to recognize and analyze ethically controversial situations in everyday medical practice.

This module contains the following ethical issues: - Doctor-patient relationship - End-of-life decision making - Reproductive self-determination - Techniques such as genetic testing, genome sequencing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence
