Abstract

The course covers the basics of 3d-scanning, 3d-modeling, Virtual and Augmented Reality simulations, 3d-visualisation and animation.

Objective

Understanding 3d-technologies, learning 3d-software for 3d-scanning and 3d-modelling, learning software for VR-simulations and animations, experimenting with different forms of concept visualization (VR, AR, 360 panoramic videos etc.), conceptual interpretation of virtuality as a parallel reality, creation of own virtual realities.

Content

1. Introduction to 3d-scanning and 3d-modeling (technologies, methods and software) 2. Introduction to Virtual Reality (Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, Unity and Unreal Engine) 2. Project development – concept and strategy (individual or in a group) 3. Project implementation (work with various 3d-softwares) 4. Project presentation (weekly blog posts, short semester-end presentation)
