Abstract
Japanese III leads to A1.2/A2.1 level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It is the third part of a five-semester Japanese course. The goal of the course is to give participants the opportunity to practice colloquial Japanese, read texts in Sino-Japanese mixed script, use and extend their basic vocabulary and sentence structures, and practice listening comprehension.
Objective
Participants are able to use the Japanese language adequately in selected areas. The focus is equally on fostering speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills at A1.2/A2.1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as on the development of cultural competence. Grammar skills are also reviewed and extended. Participants learn about 60 new Kanji, thus improving their reading skills. The following content from daily interactions is dealt with: Dealing with everyday interactions, talking about personal problems, giving advice, expressing wishes, and making assumptions.
