Modul 4: Vernetzung
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:35:29
Abstract
Key terms: BIM and VDCO, fields of application and software
Objective
Using specific examples, Module 4 illustrates the foundations and versatility of building information modeling (BIM), enabling participants to deal with the concepts, applications and mechanisms involved.
Content
BIM has become a key term in the digitalisation of the building industry. The program demonstrates the requirements and opportunities in this method of working, which is based on networked data and structured processes. The state of practical work here is presented through specific applications that extend beyond the areas of collision testing and room booking administration. The module ends by describing the current status of standardization in Switzerland and provides examples from abroad as well. Finally, methods of writing an academically argued thesis, required for the program certificate, are presented.
