Abstract
Group theory: groups, representation of groups, unitary and orthogonal groups, Lorentz group. Lie theory: Lie algebras and Lie groups. Representation theory: representation theory of finite groups, representations of Lie algebras and Lie groups, physical applications (eigenvalue problems with symmetry).

Die während des Semesters angebotenen Lernelemente messen die aktive Teilnahme am Übungsbetrieb, was in mehreren Teilschritten mit bis zu 0.25 Notenpunkten benotet wird. Dieser Bonus von 0 bis 0.25 wird ungerundet zu der ungerundeten Note aus der Prüfung addiert; das Resultat wird zur Endnote gerundet.Im Prüfungsfach Methoden der mathematischen Physik II wird die Mitarbeit durch je 1 Punkt pro gelöste Übungsaufgabe bewertet. Die im Semester erreichten Punkte werden in einen Notenbonus von maximal 0.25 Notenpunkten umgerechnet.0 bis r Punkte: Notenbonus 0; ab s Punkten: maximaler Notenbonus 0.25; dazwischen: affin linear.Die Punktzahlen r < s werden vom Dozenten festgelegt.
