Abstract

This course gives a first introduction to Physics. During the winter term (Physics I) emphasis is given to classical mechanics, up to Newtons' theory of graviation, with a short introduction to Special Relativity. During the summer term (Physics II) topics such as oscillatins, waves and Thermodynamics are discussed.

Content

Einführung in die Quantenphysik, Atomspektren, Grundzüge der Festkörperphysik, Halb-leiter. Statistische Mechanik, Temperaturbegriff, 1. und 2. Hauptsatz der Wärmelehre und einfache Anwendungen, Transportphänomene, Strahlung und Planck'sches Strahlungsge-setz, Relativität, Galilei und Lorentztransformation.
