Objective

Knowledge on the basics of round timber processing on the first processing level and the ability to deduce its rele-vance on the quality of the deployed raw materials. The students have to be able to identify the technological rele-vance of their forestal actions for wood machining.

Content

Basics of saw mill technology, grading of the sawn wood and its procedural relevance. Objective and method of sawn wood drying and its relevance for the timber use in different sectors. Objective and method of chemical wood preservation.
