Objective
Presentation of the state of the art in dendrology and expansion of knowledge of woody plants. Demonstration of interfaces with other disciplines, in particular ecophysiology, genetics, forest ecology and conservation.
Content
Diversity in woody plants and its evolution, differentiation between problematic taxa, identification methods, floral and dispersal biology. Morphology, biology and biogeography of selected species groups (e.g. Abies, Eucalyptus, Pinus, Quercus, Salix, Rosaceae, Taxodiaceae, monocotyledonous and invasive woody plants).
