Objective

Perceptions, needs and values of the urban population regarding street trees, parks and peri-urban forests are de-scribed and analysed.

Content

Trees and forests in urban and peri-urban ecosystems; recreation and landuse design regarding the social integra-tive function of green spaces; the role of urban forests and other urban and peri-urban green spaces for environ-mental education; green spaces in urban metropoles of developing countries
