Objective
Understanding the processes of strategic and operational planning in a forestry enterprise; presenting results in project form.
Content
A planning model is developed using a specific forestry enterprise as an example. This builds on the following preliminary exercises during the 6th semester: - Assimilation and analysis of site-ecological, socio-economic, silvicultural and organisational specifics of the en-terprise. - Establishment of a strategy. The planning areas are combined to produce an integrated plan and the results are presented in a management plan. The planning in the block course is split into various planning areas. These include silvicultural individual plans with emphasis on regeneration planning, exploitation planning, harvest planning, work planning, human resources plan-ning and financial planning.
