Abstract

FlugzeugaerodynamikFahrzeugaerodynamik

Objective

Einführung in die Grundlagen und Zusammenhänge der Flugzeug- und Fahrzeugaerodynamik vermitteln. An Beispielen die wesentlichen Probleme und Resultate illustrieren. Möglichkeiten und Grenzen experimenteller und theoretischer Verfahren zeigen.

Content

Aircraft aerodynamics: Atmosphere. Aerodynamic forces (Lift: Profiles, wings. Drag: Parasite drag, drag due to lift). Thrust (Overwiev on propulsion systems, propeller aerodynamics). Basics of static longitudinal stability. Vehile aerodynamics: Aerodynamic and mass forces, drag, lift. Aerodynamics and vehicle driving performance. Passenger cars, trucks and busses, racing cars.
