Abstract

Basic principles of demand and supply, market and state in a modern economy.Cost analysis, economies of scale and economies of scope.Perfect competition, monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition, barriers to entry, market concentration, market power.Natural monopoly, regulation, deregulation, privatisation of public enterprises and technological innovation.

Objective

Ziel ist es, die Studierenden in die Begriffe, Probleme und Ansätze der Industrieökonomie und der Ökonomie der Regulierung bzw. Deregulierung einzuführen.

Content

1. Teil: Grundprinzipien des Angebots und der Nachfrage, Markt und Staat in der modernen Wirtschaft. 2. Teil: Kostenanalyse, Skalenerträge und Verbundvorteile, 3. Teil: Marktformen: vollständige Konkurrenz, Monopol, Oligopol und monopolistischer Wettbewerb, Marktzutrittsbarrieren, Konzentration, Marktmacht. 4. Teil: Natürliches Monopol, Regulierung, Deregulierung und Privatisierung öffentlicher Versorgungsunternehmen.
