Abstract

Continuation of deepenening and illustration of the theory by means of selected practial examples.Mathematics: partial differentential equations (brief overview)System Analysis:non-linear box models with one or several variables, discrete-time models, continuous models in space and time.

Objective

Mathemtik: Einen ganz groben Ueberblick geben - mehr ist aus Zeitgruenden nicht moeglich - ueber die Theorie der partiellen Differentialgleichungen, die entsprechenden Fragestellungen und Methoden. Insbesondere soll aufgezeigt werden, dass diese ganz anders gelagert, resp. viel komplexer sind als bei den bis anhin behandelten gewoehnlichen Differentialgleichungen.

Content

Mathematik: Kurzer Ueberblick ueber die Theorie der Fourierreihen (Vorbereitung). Exemplarisch wird eine 'prominente' partielle Differentialgleichung - z.B. die Waermeleitungsgleichung - behandelt.
