Objective

Overview of enzymes, enzyme-catalyzed reactions and metabolic processes.

Content

Principles of enzymatic catalysis, enzyme kinetics, mechanisms of enzyme catalysed reactions (group transfer reactions, carbon-carbon bond formation, eliminations, isomerisations and rearrangements), cofactor chemistry, enzymes in organic synthesis and the biosynthesis of natural products, catalytic antibodies.
