Abstract
The basic ideas of modelling of dynamical processes will be given. Thereby, the structure of such models as well as numerical methods to obtain parameters of these models will be discussed. Matlab based CAD software packages for identification will be used.

Content
Modelling from first principles. Nonparametric and parametric identification. Deterministic and stochastic models for black box identification. Predictor error, output error and instrumental variable methods. Numerical solution - iterative methods. Use of CAD tools for identification and verification of dynamical models based on MATLAB toolboxes.
