The focal point is on the theoretical description and modelling of these processes as well as on the methods for data collection and analysis.

The lecture provides an introduction to the technical processes for waste gas cleaning. It is shown that the variety of these procedures is an application of basic principles of physical chemistry. The basic knowledge in air pollution control is increased by working on specific problems and case studies. Thereby the frame given by environmental politics is taken into consideration.
