Abstract

The course guides students through the design and prototyping of a mechatronic system, from problem definition to solution. After a brief introduction to systems engineering and hands-on workshops, teams develop concepts, evaluate them, and build functional prototypes that foster problem-solving skills and practical engineering insight.

Objective

Apply CAD modeling, electronics fundamentals, and C/C++ programming in a practical mechatronic project. Integrate product development and engineering design methods to create a functional prototype. Use systematic problem-solving strategies to overcome technical challenges. Collaborate effectively in a team to plan, develop, and implement a mechatronic system.
