Gravity Lab
Last Updated: 2026-02-05 15:29:23
Abstract
Consolidation of knowledge in physical geodesy and its application to the gravity field determination.
Objective
Students know the gravimetric measurement technique. They are able to interpret and to qualify gravity measurements and to carry out error estimations. Autonomous work on gravity-related problems.
Content
Gravityfield, Geoid, and potential, tides, principles of gravimeters, gravity measurements and its analysis, gravity reduction, inversion of gravity data, interpretation of gravity anomalies. The students carry out an own small project.
