Fields of responsibility, legal bases, definition of terms Methods and institutions of historic preservation. The tasks and activities are mediated. Methods and legal foundations of monumental conservationists in Switzerland.

Objective

The students know the potential to become architects or architects in the Swiss preservation of historical buildings and monuments.

Content

Foundations of the Swiss Heritage Offices and Federal Office of Culture. How does an object become a monument, what is a monument? Activities of conservationists: Inventory versus construction consulting and their methods and tasks.
