Abstract
Topics to be covered include:Elementary introduction to General Relativity needed to supply students in such necessary tools as geodesic surveys and global structure of space-time; Friedmann-Robertson-Walker models in classical and quantum context; initial conditions for an expanding universe; quantum birth of a universe; Kantowski-Sachs and Lemaitre models; nonsingular cosmologies with a variable vacuum density from the point of view of different observers.
Content
The course is aimed at giving students an understanding of essence and grounds of cosmological models, with a special attention to models describing the very early stages of evolution including different mathematical possibilities for description of a big bang.
