The participants learn about the structure of the Swiss system of vocational and educational training, including preparatory training and continuing education. In addition, by way of site visits and discussions with experts they get to know the locations of learning and training. The focal points of the course are: structure of the Swiss VET system; reform efforts; alternative forms of VET.

The course dealt with the terminology of Vocational Pedagogy and the tension field, typical for the education system, between social and pedagogical orientations. The contents chapters of the lecture were devoted to the vocational education and training systems of Germany and England, as well as to European and didactical issues.
