Digital Health Technology (DHT) enables new study designs, including better evidence generation for value-based health care. This module focuses on the preparation of a study synopsis incorporating a digital technology and/or modern study concept.

Extension of statistics for medical students. This lecture is based on the content of Statistics I. The focus will be on the understanding and the concrete application of statistical methods, as they are used in medical research. Exercises will be solved using the statistical programming environment R.

The course will guide the students through designing a clinical study and introduces established study designs and study elements, as well as modern study concepts and designs to address clinical questions. Another focus is on patient perspectives and patient preference studies.
