Principles and technologies for the manufacturing of dosage forms and drug delivery systems. Comprehension of molecular interactions in solution and colloidal systems. Comprehension of interfacial phenomena and stabilization measures in dosage forms.

First identification with Pharmaceutical Sciences; motivation for profiling in the Natural Sciences, which are focused on within the first two years as a preparation for the specialized studies; sensitization for the duties and the responsibilities of a person with a federal diploma in Pharmacy; information about job opportunities.

The students gain knowledge on excipients, the preparation of simple dosage forms under consideration of basic quality assurance requirements, on quality control of medicaments and pharmacopoeial requirements. This enables them to analyse and understand simple galenical problems, to study them experimentally, and to evaluate and present the data in a scientific format.
