Abstract

QED is presented together with results developed in the context of general quantum field theory. Furthermore, within the framework of nonrelativistic QED, some novel mathematical results on the atomic binding and on the scattering of light and electrons are presented, adding full mathematical rigor to basic facts in spectroscopy.
